Sam Dobrow's passion for photography started when his father gave him a camera in the sixth grade. After a successful career in the software and executive search industries, Sam Dobrow decided to pursue this passion for photography as a profession. Today, Sam operates as a freelance photographer and writer. He regularly photographs events for The ATLANTAN magazine and writes for examiner.com. Sam also helps models and makeup artists build their portfolio. Sam regularly hosts meetings of the Alpharetta Creative Photography Coop (ACPC) and mentors other photographers in the creative application of lighting for fashion, portrait and fine art photography.
Sam communicates stories about people and their environment through words and photography. He evokes inner beauty in his subjects and captures their personality in his photography. The people in Sam's photographs have a story to tell and you can read it on their face.
Sam adheres to the principles and practices of professional photography associations including ASMP, American Photographic Artists (APA), and Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Sam is active in the Atlanta photography community through his affiliation with the Atlanta Photography Group, Atlanta Photographer's Guild and the Atlanta Photography Exhibit.
